BuilderPad and inBuild join forces.
The custom builder finally gets one platform.

Two of residential construction's most-loved software companies are joining forces. Over the next 6 to 12 months, the teams will work to bring BuilderPad's project management and inBuild's financial workflows under one roof — while inBuild itself sharpens its focus upmarket on Procore-integrated builders. The first step is live today: the new AI Inbox in BuilderPad, which reads every invoice, bill, and PO automatically.

RALEIGH, NCBuilderPad and inBuild today announced a strategic partnership that reshapes how both companies serve the residential construction market. Under the partnership, the two companies will work together over the coming year to bring BuilderPad's project management, client communication, and selections tools together with inBuild's financial platform — invoice management, bill processing, purchase orders, budgeting, approvals, and QuickBooks and Sage integrations — into a single, seamless experience for custom homebuilders and remodelers. At the same time, inBuild as a company is refocusing its product roadmap exclusively on large, Procore-integrated builders, where its deep financial workflows and Procore integration give it a clear best-in-class position.

For BuilderPad, the partnership represents the most significant product expansion in the company's history. Financial workflow has consistently been the #1 product request from BuilderPad customers. Rather than rebuild that capability from scratch, BuilderPad is partnering with the team that has spent years perfecting it — with the goal of bringing custom homebuilders and remodelers a true front-office and financial operating system in a single product over the next 6 to 12 months.

The first capability shipping in the wake of the partnership is the new AI Inbox, now live in BuilderPad, which automatically reads every invoice, bill, and purchase order the moment it lands — extracting line items, matching to POs and budget lines, flagging cost-code mismatches, and routing for approval without the manual data entry that has historically defined construction back-office work. It is the first of many integration milestones the combined teams plan to ship together over the coming year.

Custom builders and remodelers have been asking us for financial tools for years, and we always knew that whatever we shipped had to be best-in-class — not a half-built afterthought. Partnering with inBuild is the answer. Their team has built the best financial workflow product in residential construction, and we are going to spend the next year working alongside them to bring that capability into BuilderPad as a single, seamless experience. The AI Inbox is the first step. Every milestone after that brings our two products closer together.

For inBuild, the partnership is a deliberate strategic narrowing. The company will continue to operate as inBuild, focused exclusively on builders who run on Procore — where the integration between inBuild's financial workflows and Procore's project management platform represents the company's strongest product fit and largest market opportunity. inBuild's QuickBooks and Sage customer base, primarily custom homebuilders and remodelers, will be increasingly served through BuilderPad as the two products come together over the coming year. Their financial workflows continue uninterrupted in the meantime, and the combined product will give them access to the project management, client communication, and selections tools BuilderPad is known for.

We've spent the last several years building the best financial workflow product in residential construction, and the clearest path to making it even better is to focus the company entirely where that depth matters most: large builders running on Procore. At the same time, we've always known a meaningful portion of our customers are custom builders and remodelers who don't need Procore — they need a simpler, more integrated product that brings project management and financials together. Partnering with BuilderPad is the right answer for those customers. Over the coming year, the two teams will work together to bring our products into one cohesive experience, and the result is going to be far better than what either of us could have built alone.

A note for current inBuild customers on QuickBooks or Sage

What's not changing

The product is not going away, accounts are not being shut down, and the team that built inBuild is not disappearing. The functionality you rely on every day continues to operate. Over the next 6 to 12 months, the two teams will work together to bring everything under one roof — so the financial tools you already use show up alongside the project management, client communication, and jobsite collaboration capabilities BuilderPad has built for custom builders and remodelers.

Pricing, contracts, support, and account access remain unchanged. There is nothing existing customers need to do right now.

Over the coming weeks, the BuilderPad team will be reaching out to introduce themselves, learn how each customer is using inBuild today, and make sure the transition feels smooth and well-supported.

inBuild customers running on Procore will continue to be served directly by inBuild, with an accelerated product roadmap focused specifically on the Procore-integrated workflow.

What this means for the market

The partnership cleanly addresses what has historically been a fragmented market. Custom homebuilders and remodelers — the majority of whom run on QuickBooks or Sage — will, over the coming year, get a single platform that handles both project and financial workflows end-to-end. Large builders running on Procore get a financial platform entirely dedicated to making Procore work better. Both segments get a product team focused on them, and only them.

The goal of this partnership is simple: marry the two platforms into one cohesive product for the builders who need that. The AI Inbox is the first proof point. Over the next several quarters, our customers are going to see the full inBuild capability set show up in BuilderPad as a single, integrated experience.
